FreshCO
FreshCo is a Canadian supermarket that operates over 123 locations between Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and British Columbia. The grocery chain prides itself on offering the freshest foods possible and boasts low prices and tons of selection! They also offer pharmacy services at their stores for customers to purchase over-the-counter medications and refill prescriptions.

FreshCo’s Origins
FreshCo got its start after the Sobey’s grocery chain decided to rebrand its discount grocery chain Price Choppers as ‘FreshCo’. Therefore, FreshCo was officially launched in 2010, in Brampton and Mississauga, Ontario with the promise of bringing its customers the lowest prices and best products in an easy to navigate and friendly environment. They quickly proceeded to expand to 68 additional locations in Ontario alone. The founder and CEO of FreshCo is Mandy Rennehan, an award winning entrepreneur and author. She is highly sought after at speaking events and interviews to discuss the success that is FreshCo.
FreshCo’s Offer
FreshCo wanted to stand out from other groceries stores and focus not only on its incredible products but the customer's experience. In doing so, they ensure that all locations and online portals are easy to navigate, brightly themed, and extremely user-friendly.
This led to the creation of FreshCo flyers and FreshCo FYI page. Their flyers help customers to find the best deals, new products, and collect coupons. FreshCo’s Community
FreshCo are proud supporters of their local communities and charities. They created the Community Action Fund for this very reason. Through this fund they are able to connect their many stores and community of shoppers to local charities and food banks in need of support. Thus, making it easy for both their fund and willing shoppers to donate food and funds to those that are in need.
Additionally, FreshCo is very supportive and aware of mental health issues and pledges to help build a brighter tomorrow through providing support to health and wellness centers in their communities. They also use their fund to support marginalized groups and help them feel supported and build a sense of inclusive belonging in the community.
